Hello! Welcome to my blog! My name is Maddy Wessling and I am a Junior at the University of Tampa. My major is New Media and my minor is Dance Theater. I would describe myself as a very creative person, who is all sunshines and rainbows! Here I will post some of my artwork, some from the past, and more recent works. I will also be posting about my journey in my classes, which I am very excited to share with you all, so stay tuned! I really hope to learn all about digital art and how to become the best designer I can possibly be! I look forward to having a space to showcase my progress!

Innocence Castle

Here is my sixth and final project for my Multimedia Installation class! This project was to create something personal on any scale or any subject we chose! I decided to use a white wooden castle, some doll furniture, and childhood images for my project. The song used in the video is 'Tiger Tiger' by Webkinz.  Fantastical Facts: Innocence Castle Edition: The castle I used is a smaller wooden castle that was painted white. Then my mom helped me cover all of the windows and place a small piece of paper in each section in order for the images to appear clearly. Each section has a different theme. One is images of my family's first home. Two are of fun moments from my childhood. One is special events (birthdays, Halloween, etc). One is of my cousins and I at my cousin's birthday party. Another is my stuffed cat, Kiki, changing colors. I also included one of some of my other stuffed animals and another funny clip of me dancing when I was younger. In total, there are ten diff

Animation for Interactivity and Games Week 10

  This week in class, I worked on creating the maps for the final project. I created parts of the world that I would like the Critter Cubes to live in. I started with the village house above and I would like to create that into a party scene with more food on the table and decorations in the background. I would also like the Critter Cubes to jump around the table. I also worked on planning the other scenes and what shots I would like to take with them.

Animation for Interactivity and Games Week 4

  This week in class, I worked on keyframes and multicamera sequences in Unreal. I learned how to use and export multiple cameras in a scene using different angles. In the video above, I used Cesium Ion (which I learned how to use in another class) to go to Mount Fuji in Japan. I then made three different camera views and exported it. I also created two more sequences with a world that I designed myself using a pack from the Unreal marketplace.  I also continued with the Unreal Fellowship videos and got through the Introduction to the Control Rig video. Once again, I found these videos pretty difficult to understand and I feel like they are geared more towards professionals who are more experienced in the industry. I have never used Unreal before and these videos feel a little overwhelming to me. I tried my best to follow along but struggle as animation is not my strong suit.
