Innocence Castle

Here is my sixth and final project for my Multimedia Installation class! This project was to create something personal on any scale or any subject we chose! I decided to use a white wooden castle, some doll furniture, and childhood images for my project. The song used in the video is 'Tiger Tiger' by Webkinz. 

Fantastical Facts: Innocence Castle Edition:
  • The castle I used is a smaller wooden castle that was painted white. Then my mom helped me cover all of the windows and place a small piece of paper in each section in order for the images to appear clearly.
  • Each section has a different theme. One is images of my family's first home. Two are of fun moments from my childhood. One is special events (birthdays, Halloween, etc). One is of my cousins and I at my cousin's birthday party. Another is my stuffed cat, Kiki, changing colors. I also included one of some of my other stuffed animals and another funny clip of me dancing when I was younger. In total, there are ten different projections happening all at once! 
  • All of the images were taken from a large box of old family photos that we have! I then filmed my baby blanket and Kiki stuffed animal and edited the footage. The other clips were found on older devices and converted to work with MadMapper. 
  • I actually added the outline to the castle last minute! My professor showed me a way to make that possible, so I ended up adding it minutes before I presented the project! 
  • A huge shoutout and thank you to both of my parents for helping me setup for this project and staying for the presentation! Also to my aunt, uncle, and cousins for helping me find the birthday clip! Without you, this project would not have been possible! 💕

For this project we needed to take more complicated images than the Image Mandala and take them into Adobe Illustrator, simplify them, and make a mandala out of the images in Adobe Dreamweaver. These images were imported using Javascript files, so that way we were able to make cool changes to the images without having a disorganized code. Fantastical Facts: Illustrator Mandala Edition: This project is 6,261 lines total! This is by far the biggest project so far! A good amount of the lines were generated from Illustrator and then made into Javascript files, however, they are still counted in the total as they are referenced in the main source code.  It was a challenge in this project to find images that weren't too complicated so that way the code could run without crashing the computer. Animation for Interactivity and Games Week 10

  This week in class, I worked on creating the maps for the final project. I created parts of the world that I would like the Critter Cubes to live in. I started with the village house above and I would like to create that into a party scene with more food on the table and decorations in the background. I would also like the Critter Cubes to jump around the table. I also worked on planning the other scenes and what shots I would like to take with them.

Fragmented Video- Doxies In Space

Here is my second project for my Multimedia Installation class! For this project, we needed to create a fragmented video with 6 to 9 squares all with footage that went together. I decided to step out of the box a bit and create a 6 canvas wide painting that when put together, makes one giant painting called, Doxies In Space ! I filmed the footage of myself painting it and made the clips into 6 sections to achieve the product. Fantastical Facts: Doxies In Space Edition: All together, the footage took a little over 2 hours to film and paint! Each clip had to be filmed one at a time, panel by panel. It took about a week of prep work as well, drawing on the canvases and getting all of the supplies set.  After each panel was filmed, I then converted all of the files over to my computer to save space.
